Last night was a funny one. We had George who brought his cousin George, Arik, Boom Boom and Myself (Tangles). The scores were 3 all when unfortunately Boom Boom pulled a hammy, seconds later Georges cousin George fell ill with and left the court also. With only 2 players and a keeper the other team quickly scored some goals. The ref tried to minimize the damage (fuck he's good). Georges cousin George felt better and played out the final 5 minutes

Omo Teaches Old School A Lesson

Omo got the 2009 season off to a cracking start with a convincing 6-4 win at the temporary Denbey Park arena tonight.

The fresh line-up included Cannonball, George, Trevoir, Stefan and the return of Arkapaw. All players had an innocent glint in their eyes, hopeful of what the future might bring the once great team, that had become downtrodden by in-fighting and consistent lossses. Omo started incredibly, with many great plays, through balls and excellent defending. A half time it was 4-0, with some spectacular volleys and speedy keeping by George. Weariness held the boys back in the second half, though still managed to hold on by putting another 2 in the back of the net.

With regulars Tangles, Boom Boom, and McMicking on the outs, surely only great things await the orange boys once the full line-up is assembled once more.

Good afternoon Omos.

This is a spreadsheet of last season's efforts. As you can see, it was one of Omo's darkest times, and includes the greatest loss in indoor soccer history - 15-2. It really hurts.

The new 2009 season begins tonight, however we have the night off, and next week is a public holiday. Our first game back is on the 16th of March. This means we have 2 weeks for a montage of fitness training and getting pumped up. We are currently in Division 6 (out of 8), so what are people's thoughts of going down another notch? Embarrasing and humbling, I know.

In other news, Atlantic has recovered from injury and has expressed his interest in returning to the fold. He is currently in talks with management regarding a 6 figure deal and won't make any further comments at this stage.

Hope everyone is ready for the orange Omo phoenix to rise again.

OMO FC redeemed after last weeks Blood Bath

Last week OMO FC lost 15-2! Oldie fuct his leg, stef lost his faith in Ganesh, Trev messed himself (big weekend for the Team Bachelor), I was wondering why I came back to Australia and George (aka Animal Steel) was toying with what was the politest way to leave the team.

I was very surprised to have no trouble filling this weeks dreaded 10:40 game. OMO was ‘Keen to Redeem’! (That should have been the headline)

Boom Boom was first to demoralize the keeper by poking one between his legs. The next goal 2 goals were from Boom Boom Benny also. Stef nailed one also but it’s all a bit fuzzy now.

We were 4-3 up but in the dying seconds they equalized.

Ben said “a draw is as good as a win!” Stef replied, “how about a hot cup of go Fuck your Self!”

Ripped a new one

We got trounced by Fat Bastards... (no, seriously that was there name) 10-3.

It was all going sweeet.  3 all just after half time and then we caved into the pressure of having OMO OG Jake coming to watch us. Ben, Trev and Oldie all scored and then Fat Bastards scored an own goal because they felt sorry for us. All in all it was a good effort we just got a little bit untangled without the Captain there and our marking up lapsed a little in the last quarter. Personally, I think we need more smut on our blog and Arik's legs need to fix themselves.
